Emma Caimi Pellini established her atelier in Milan in 1947, initiating first her daughter Carla and then her granddaughter Donatella – the brand’s main designer today – in the art of bijoux, each adding their own contemporary interpretation and offering their wares in the world’s most prestigious boutiques. Donatella became known for her experimentation with resin, still the flagship of Pellini’s collection today, cleverly mixing state-of-the-art technique with traditional craftsmanship. The resin becomes the vehicle for various coatings in pigments, stone and fabric fragments, sands, photographs as well as paintings, sketches or prints on paper. Humble materials but sophisticated workmanship, the resins are all cast by hand, piece for precious piece.
In addition to her pieces in resin, Donatella Pellini has designed a collection with semi-precious stones. This magical world of gemstones, assembled by skilled hands with metals in unusual shades, evokes a universe of color and harmony.
Composition: rhodonite, agate, freshwater pearls, tiger’s eye, Rathbun’s giant file shell.
